Film Strom života, ovenčený Zlatou palmou z filmového festivalu v Cannes, distribuovaný v slovenských a českých kinách mediálnou spoločnosťou Film Europe Media Company, získal v pondelok 28. 11.2011 na Cipriani v New Yorku ďalšie ocenenie - Najlepší celovečerný film na 21. ročníku udeľovania Gotham Independent Film Awards.V slovenských kinách je film uvedený od 3.11.2011. Film režiséra Terrenca Malicka s hviezdnym obsadením v hlavných úlohách s Bradom Pittom, Seanom Pennom a Jessicou Chastain bol uvedený aj v sekcii Panoráma na 13. Medzinárodnom filmovom festivale Bratislava.
Film Europe je dynamická mediálna spoločnosť s tímami a kanceláriami v Prahe, Bratislave, Budapešti, Londýne a v Cannes. Od apríla 2010 prevádzkuje už tri vlastné národné tematické televízne kanály KINO CS, DOKU CS a MUZIKA CS (CS TV). Od 17. novembra 2011 spustila vysielanie Film Europe Channel – prvý európsky filmový kanál, ktorý uvádza výhradne európsku kinematografiu zo všetkých 50 krajín geografickej Európy. Film Europe nakupuje, koprodukuje, v kinách a na DVD distribuuje a vo vlastných televíziách vysiela - európsky film.
